The Plot :

Surrounded by a veritable sportsman’s bag (portraits, miniatures, strands of hair, tiny dance shoes, ribbons and other relics from journeys into the world of women), Don Giovanni nervously jostles his white-gloved valet, Leporello, who is constantly giving worried looks in the direction of the clock on the wall. The table is set for two: they are waiting for the Commander to celebrate a feast of statuesque formality. But the approaching footsteps sound nothing like the hammering of a statue. Enter the young, hare-brained Elvira, a law unto herself, a cousin of the mythical spouse and homonym of Don Giovanni, younger sister of Dona Anna, victim of the seducer and thus daughter of the dead Commander. Red-haired, freckled with a white dress. Her pleasures in life: cakes, money and fairytales …..in that order.

Strange creature whom Don Giovanni finds irresistible: he shares his most innermost secrets with her …… which ends in his downfall but in the delight of the reader or spectator..

André Camp

-« The press was unanimous in its praise of the text, Don Juan’s latest verbal and sensual combat in which he ends up falling in love, the only genuine good and at the same time painful redemption.»
David Mac Touch - L’avant-Scène théâtre

-« A good example of a manhunt. »
Le Parisien
